i’ve installed wordpress 4 months ago and have to say that i’m really happy with it. [1] ]wordpress has a big bunch of useful plugins and seems to run with much less resources on the server than my old cms, movable type . and the best thing is that wordpress has a really great comment spam filter built in, akismet . today, akismet caught it’s 10000th spammy comment. to celebrate this, i’m featuring the comment here (as an image, let’s not get too exited and give them google-credits:-)

devin reams hat einen netten song über wordpress geschrieben, der wirklich witzig ist. und wenn dann das erste maintenance-release von WP 2.1 rauskommt, sing ich auch wieder mit , im moment musste ich leider wieder downgraden , damits mit ecto klappt, weil wordpress den xlmrpc-standard nicht respektiert….

wie schon 17 mal zuvor fand am 3. wochenende des noch jungen jahres der internationale masters-wettkampf des ssv ingelheim in deutschland statt. da vor einigen jahren das hallenbad in ingelheim abgerissen wurde, wurde das meeting zwischenzeitlich in gensingen durchgeführt. im letzten jahr ist in der nachbarsgemeinde gau-algesheim das hallenbad rheinwelle eröffnet worden, in dem nun der ssv ingelheim das meeting durchgeführt hat.

am vergangenen wochenende waren 218 schwimmerinnen und schwimmer aus 62 vereinen und 2 nationen (deutschland und schweiz) am start. im ersten bild oben kann man die komplette masters-mannschaft des skbe sehen, die für einige persönliche bestzeiten gesorgt hat (auch dank des brandneuen ganzkörperanzugs), im zweiten bild sieht man die komplette schweizer masters-vertretung, die für einige schweizer rekorde gesorgt hat (in der oberen reihe: ich (skbe), irene, margarethe. in der unteren reihe pesche, regula und kurt (alle svb ).

i’ve written about jeff han already , now i’ve stumbled over a new demo of the multi-touch-gui he and his colleagues are developing (they’ve been contacted by apple for the iphone-gui, but are not involved with it). watch the video below and be amazed (close your mouth, or you’ll drool over your keyboard…)
