Picture of the Week

Im Rahmen einer grossangelegten Aufräum-Aktion ging ich mit der Hilfe von ein paar ‘Smart Alben ’ in Aperture durch meine Fotobibliothek.

Die Fotos unten sind die Highlights aus jedem Monat, als mein persönlicher Rückblick aufs 2013.

Einen etwas technischeren Rückblick auf’s Jahr hab’ ich auch noch im Köcher, der muss aber noch ein bisschen auf der Herdplatte einkochen.

an der hochzeit, welche ich am 10. oktober besuchte, haben alle hochzeitsgäste von sich selber ein foto auf dem sofa gemacht. ein paar tage später habe ich die durchschnittlichen hochzeitsgäste gezeigt, was dann schon mal relativ speziell aussah, wie hier zu sehen war . die idee, die aber hinter dem ganzen #geheimprojekt stand, wurde von herr lerjen [1] schon vor einigen jahren verwirklicht , ihm gebührt der dank für die idee.

dieser eintrag hier steht übrigens in keinem widerspruch zu diesem eintrag , denn wordpress kann auch einträge auf ein bestimmtes datum veröffentlichen (sonst hätte ich’s wohl nicht geschafft, genau um 20:09 uhr diesen eintrag zu machen…). und wie merlin mann sagt: enjoy yourself, have a good one!

bruni und bettina haben gestern geheiratet [1]. nach der ziviltrauung auf dem harder haben wir dann in saxeten gefeiert und viel zu viel gegessen, weil’s so fein war.

nach einem tollen fest, einer kurzen nacht und einem viel zu opulenten frühstück hat sich dann die erstaunlich grosse zivilhochzeitsgesellschaft auf einen kleinen spaziergang gemacht. nina und ich haben eigentlich geplant, eine zweitägige wanderung über den triftgletscher zu machen (wie andere auch schon ), konnten diesen plan dann aber wegen schlechtem öV-anschluss in saxeten nicht durchführen. deshalb haben wir uns kurz nach beginn des kleinen spazierganges abgesetzt und haben dann eine knapp siebenstündige tour übers von saxeten aus übers morgenberghorn nach aeschi bei spiez gemacht. dabei sind einige fotos und untenstehendes gps-tracklog entstanden. eines der fotos soll hier stellvertretend für einen gelungenen tag stehen, der rest der bilder ist hier zu finden.

the weekend was absolutely wonderful (not only because i won, but also because the weather was brilliant, the hosts/organisation were superb, the course was great,…). i’m still putting everything together, but i’d just like to thank everyone at velocite , that was only minorly involved with the organisation of the suicmc07, it was great!

yesterday we had an afterparty in pully, including a jaccuzzi by jaccuzzi.ch and some lake jumping . the image below is ändu having a nice flight into the lac léman.

since nina finally returned from her internship at the cancer institute in london, we were able to go for a nice hike this weekend. we walked from meiringen to the axalp . the weather was absolutely stunning, so we had a great day (most days together with nina are great, so this was not really a surprise :-) i’ve managed to shoot a bunch of very nice pictures and one stunning panorama which merits an own post (i’m still working on it…). the image below is panorama that also came out quite god, it’s a stitched panorama shot at the waypoint sattel just before the knee-weakening descent down to the socalled urserli. in total it’s made from 9 images stitched together with the excellent hugin . see it here small or in full glory in the meiringen-axalp -set on flickr.

as you’ve maybe already seen in my flick-stream , i’ve been playing frisbee over the past weekend. we’ve made a team from unisport bern [1] to compete against other in the first university ultimate tournament in bruxelles, belgium. it was a blast, the weather was marvellous, although a tad too hot, the other teams were competitive and we had great games. unfortunately i had to leave a bit earlier, so i was not able to play the finals (and that’s why bern lost the final i think :-) and had quite a hard time until i got home, since the train broke down about half an hour after departure from bruxelles, so it took me a night in the ICE to get back home to switzerland, but the whole weekend was worth it.

quite some time ago (for my birthday actually) i got a voucher for a weekend in the snow with a big surprise from my love. this weekend we finally managed to find a weekend with snow and free time. in the end it turned out that she planned a weekend on the bettmeralp for skiing and some wellness in the hotel bettmerhof . the weather was absolutely gorgeous and also the slopes were really good. the whole weekend was already a surprise for me, so i was not expecting something special when we went for a drink after hitting the slopes. only after the prinoth everest power [1] parked for quite a long time besides us i got a bit suspicious on what nina planned for the big surprise. you might not know that i’ve always said that it’s a little dream of me to ride with one of those machines - throttle fully open - on a skiing slope…

yesterday i went for a walk with nina, onto the tower of moron . only today i realized that it’s quite a funny name in english :-) the tower was designed by mario botta, a famous swiss architect and built by swiss brickie -apprentices. the weather was absolutely stunning, so i managed to take some nice pictures. there’s one below or some more here .
